We've really enjoyed it. We lived in town, but the dream was always to be in the country. Jim: Growing up on a farm, I want the work ethic. I want the kids to help me with chores in the morning, or help Steph with chores in the morning. Stephanie: Jim was very optimistic, and I would get discouraged, and say, "I don't think what we're looking for exists. I don't think we can find somebody to help us get what we need." The lender we had for our first home was great, but we learned that they weren't able to offer the financing that we needed for an Ag property. We wanted acreage and that's not something that they could do for us, so that was one challenge. Jim: I spoke with Ty at Compeer Financial and he was fantastic. He answered my questions and it was incredibly informational and helpful, and that put us in a place where we could look at everything and make really good decisions. Stephanie: I would get nervous about something with closing approaching, and I would say, "Jim what is this? You need to ask Ty. Is this okay? What does this mean?" So he would send an email or give him a call and Ty always had the answers for us. Ty Rohloff: Jim and Stephanie came to me in August of 2017. They said, "We're looking at some property in the country. We ran into a couple of roadblocks with rural home financing. We need some help. So really I always think that we're almost everything in rural and we can help. We have a solution, along with a great team behind that solution and it really took off from there. They were able to identify an amazing property out in the country, right in their backyard, right in their hometown, and that meant a lot to them. When it means a lot to them, it also means a lot to me. It's always neat to see when we get to closing, somebody's walking into their dream home, and when you think about it, you’re gonna spend a lot of years there, and they're going to have a lot of great memories. That's the neat part to be involved in that. Ready to get started? Find your lending specialist today. Apply now! Comments There are no comments.
