The Nominating Committee is tasked with identifying, evaluating and nominating suitable candidates for director positions and future nominating committee positions. There are 30 positions to fill, consisting of eight committee members and two alternates per region. Positions are elected annually for a one-year term.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Nominate at least two candidates for each director and/or nominating committee position to be elected
- Report the committee’s nominated candidates to the stockholders in connection with the annual meeting
The nominating committee typically meets twice over a couple of weeks to complete its work. Committee members are compensated for their time and travel expenses incurred for meeting attendance.
Any Compeer Financial voting stockholder with an outstanding loan balance who is not a team member or agent of the association may be eligible to stand for election to the nominating committee. Candidates are nominated by geographic regions.
