Shelby is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in dairy production. She was hired as a crop insurance intern with Compeer Financial during the summer of 2020 and was hired back full time in September 2021 as an associate appraiser for Compeer Financial out of the Waite Park location. Since her appraisal career kickstarted in 2021, Shelby has completed the extensive coursework and experience requirements and obtained her Minnesota Certified General appraisal license in 2024. Shelby works primarily in east central Minnesota but has experience in 50+ counties across the state. She specializes in dairy operations and has a diverse background in general and improved farms, rural residential properties, cropland (irrigation included), recreational tracts and transitional properties. Shelby grew up working on her family’s dairy farm where she still occasionally helps and resides nearby the family farm in Eden Valley, Minnesota with her husband and two children.
