Dana Wiegand

Overview & Bio Information

Dana Wiegand is a Sr. Animal Agriculture Lending Specialist – Swine with more than 18 years of experience in the Farm Credit System. He joined Compeer Financial in 2008. Prior to joining the organization, Dana spent six years working for a community bank and four years farming alongside his family. Raised on a hog and grain farm in central Illinois, he remains closely connected to production agriculture through his family’s operation, which continues today.

Dana earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. His experience in both agricultural and finance provides him with a practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing livestock producers.

Dana and his wife, Mari, live in Morton, Illinois, and are the proud parents of six children.
